they are about an inch and a half thick and the image stretches around the side, just like a painting. and they come ready to hang!

and on an equally cool and mostly related note, if you are a former client and purchased high resolution files, you received a handcrafted jewel case. as in, crafted by hand by me. here are a couple of recent examples. infinitely customizable thanks to my paper addiction.

inside...

i had an amazing couple of weeks, so much so, that i am half-heartedly trying to convince adam that we should move there- for lots of reasons i may or may not write about here. don't worry, existing and future clients, it would be a long while anyway.
this was one of the last images i shot on the trip, but see that little flame? yeah, that produces a REALLY loud, gunshot-like noise. we heard it throughout our vacation. the first time, i truly believed they were gunshots and it was a little scary. it was the first day we arrived at the house we rented in granada and i wondered what i had gotten my mom and i into. i didn't see what produced the heart attack and car alarm inducing noise (not sure about heart attacks, but these buggers definitely set off car alarms) until half way through our trip. i saw them being lit at the end of our trip. the lucky lighter has all of two seconds at the most to get out of the way before the explosion. they are actually called bombas in san juan del sur, where this was taken. the crowd behind was part of a procession for a holiday called the divine child.
this just about sums up the trip. i totally dig hammocks.

we were privileged to be able to see a sunset behind the concepcion volcano on the island of ometepe, one of the most magical places i have visited in my life. there is a huge movement of organic farms on the island which is pretty incredible.

with that phenomenal view came a downside, i.e., creepy crawlies. i love praying mantises, so i was content for him to guard our house, however, giganto spiders, beetles and grasshoppers are not welcome inside the mosquito net.
amazing colors all over the whole country. i just loved the look of this pool hall.

and this is where i'd like to live- on a hillside just to the north. gears are a spinning.

Awesome. Cannot wait to see more!

It's true. We're for sale. Well, our work is, anyway. And it's not just wedding day and family love and locomotion anymore.
There's no more reason to wait for your Big Day, or your sister's or cousin's day either, before you snag up, frame and hang Benton Park Photo Co. artistry.
We've got some photography ready for year-round lovin' -- starting now. Hang these in your living room, kitchen, horse stables (?), at your office, and anywhere else you've got wall space craving that special...je ne sais quoi.
This is what's happening:
Becca and I, as you know -- either by being around us for a while, or by doing your homework and reading our About Us page -- have done a bit of here-and-there getting around in the past decade or so.
Now we're sharing many slices of those travel experiences, among other things -- in photo style, of course.
We've got oodles of travel photography from a handful of continents. We've got uber-oodles of photography from our own backyard, too. Near and far places, near and far people.
We are also sharing our conceptual art, our landscapes, our urbanscapes -- and any number of other ideas we've turned into what we dig as a bit of visual sweetness.
And I'll cut to the quick for this thought: For fine art it is priced rather...uh, democratically, shall we say? It's all easily within reach. Visit our online sales gallery to see what's in the shop at the moment (the opportunities are still in the works): BentonParkPhotoCo.etsy.com.
Now to kick this announcement off with a flourish, get a look below at our most recent art work. These are scenes and fragments of a gritty, notorious urban district -- East St. Louis, Illinois -- that is near our home base.

This is a great idea! I'll definitely spread the word.
