if you're looking for something to do today (lots of posts seem to begin this way!) check out the street art fair at our fabulous neighbor, the venice cafe, starting at 2 p.m. if you're visiting our site, chances are you have already been there (unless you're from somewhere else). this is an excuse to come back and visit, not that you need one. there is frequently new art at the cafe itself- we always see jeff working on something when we're walking the giganto puppies. the latest project-in-the-works is an amazing industrial something-cum-bench which will soon be a gorgeously mosaicked place to rest your derriere.
stay tuned in the next few weeks! we'll be shooting andrea and gerrit's big day october 4th at world's fair pavillion in forest park and lumiere place. we'll also have mallorie and adam's e-shoot the next weekend (fabulous art deco themed wedding to follow next september at the missouri botanical gardens) and carrie and brent's e-shoot the weekend after that! brent was ben's best man (of ben and laura fame). carrie and brent got engaged the same weekend ben and laura got married and already had their date set and fabulous venue selected, the magic chef mansion, a WEEK later!
also stay tuned for our interview in PDNedu. only five years ago, adam and i were excited to read PDNedu while we attended grad school at mizzou. it's pretty awesome to be appearing on those pages such a short(ish) time later!
p.s. in case you ever wonder why we include so many links in our posts, it's because it helps with search engine rankings.
tomorrow night is the great forest park balloon race opener, the balloon glow. it's an awesome event that will be held this year in central field from 7-8:30 p.m. be there or be square. the actual race will be saturday from 12-6:30.
if you ever have the opportunity to take a hot air balloon ride, it's one of the most peaceful experiences you will ever have (landing aside). adam and i were fortunate enough to get free rides during the show-me state games while we were at mizzou. i'll have to dig up some of our photos.

if you're looking for something fabulous to do today, it's the last day of art outside at schlafly in maplewood. art outside started in 2004 as an alternative to the st. louis art fair in clayton which has become less and less accessible to local artists in recent years.
we went yesterday and my favorite picks were renee heyer-starrett who had whimsical pottery pieces and lisa colby who had AMAZING jewelry. her studio on cherokee is scheduled to open in the next couple of weeks. it was also good to see sarah cross, an old acquaintance from mizzou who had some really edgy photography.
art outside is open noon-four today. check it out!!!
tomorrow we will be a typepad featured blog! WOOHOO!!!
That is so exciting!

Yay! More pictures!
(09.21.08)Thank you so much for the gift card! I can't wait to put it to use. I have no excuse for my delayed thank you other than i've been super busy with school and work (though that isn't really an excuse!). Looking forward to meeting you in a few weeks!
