adam and i had the pleasure of meeting the phenomenally talented painter, mary harnetiaux, yesterday. i fell in love with her work when it was up at crepes in the city. check out her etsy shop. these are posted with permission.
seriously, how can you not just drool over these and want to fill every inch of wall space with them?

i emailed andrea of andrea + gerrit fame the other day to make sure she loved her way-cool zebra wood pictobooks album. here is the response i got:
"Becca, The album brought unexplainable joy to our lives! Absolutely stunning! As soon as I opened it the tears were flowing. It completely encapsulates every joyous moment of our big day. The memories will be in there for years and years to come all thanks to something as simple as an album. Zebra wood was the way to go= Superb! I love how the photo on the cover is a tile....nothing will ever mess it up ensuring that Gerrit and will remember October 4th 2008 until we are 99. The small pictograph was a big hit too, with mothers from both sides arguing over who gets to keep it, it has officially won joint custody between them. Both mothers showing it off at work, I get calls daily from their clients, "Who took these amazing photos, I want them to do my daughters wedding?" being so proud of the work you and Adam did, I simply reply, "Benton Park Photography Co the coolest place to go!" Thank you guys once again for your superhero photography skills, your the best! We will love and cherish our albums forever and ever, reminding us just how important and special a marriage is to us. You two are rock stars!
-Andrea and Gerrit-"
we couldn't (and wouldn't) pay someone to write something so glowing.
thank you, clients, for being our rock stars. we are nothing without you.

There you go again, Becca. I really liked this one! I even made a reference to the Andre the Giant movement when looking at a hairy Italian rugby player!

congrats in advance to anyone who will get engaged today!

Sweet art! Love the colors and intricacies! And what do you think of Crepes in the City? I started working at the Central Library and have been wanting to try it, but if I can never tell if it's open. Thanks for linking to their web site!
